Privacy Policy

Last updated: January 1, 2025

This Privacy Policy explains how Corridoor ("we", "us") handles information when you use our platform. We aim to be plain and transparent about what we collect — and what we don't.

Note: This document is provided for informational purposes only and is not a substitute for legal advice. If you need a privacy policy that meets specific regulatory requirements, please consult a qualified lawyer.

1. Information We Collect

When you create an account, we collect basic information such as your email address and any profile details you choose to provide. When you submit content (companies, hierarchies, salary entries, or reviews), we store that content along with timestamps. For anonymous submissions, we do not attach your identity to the submission.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to operate the Platform, authenticate users, display submitted content, moderate submissions, and improve the experience. Salary data is shown only to registered users to encourage a balanced exchange of information within the community.

3. Anonymous Submissions

We support anonymous submissions of company data and reviews. For these submissions, we do not record personal identifiers. We may still log technical metadata (such as approximate timestamps) for moderation and abuse prevention, but this is not linked to a user profile.

4. Cookies and Local Storage

Corridoor uses your browser's localStorage to remember preferences such as your selected language and to maintain your session. We do not use third-party advertising cookies or cross-site tracking.

5. Third-Party Links

Company profiles may include links to external sites such as company websites or LinkedIn pages. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of those third-party sites. Please review their policies separately.

6. Data Retention

We retain account information for as long as your account is active. Submitted content (including anonymous submissions) may be retained even after an account is deleted, since it contributes to the shared knowledge base on the Platform. You can contact us to request removal of specific content.

7. Your Rights

You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of the personal information associated with your account. We do not sell your data to third parties. To exercise your rights, please contact us through the channels listed on our website.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy as the Platform evolves. When we do, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Material changes will be communicated through the Platform where appropriate.

9. Contact Us

If you have questions about this Privacy Policy or how your information is handled, please reach out via the contact channels listed on our website.
